Do We Turn a Blnd Eye?

I am at a lost for words when I see constant push back for what is right or wrong with society. Let me take this one step further. The No Child Left Behind legislation is not the name of the mad scientist that scraped the scalp off the plight facing America ’s young adults. Principally, education woes were apparent long before President George Bush’s myth defying panacea that to this point has further stricken the education system with polio like symptoms. The problem with young adults not being prepared can not be tallied as a black, white, or brown thing. The problem deserves further exploration but not through myopic driven lens. The broader the perspective the more the opportunity that stronger solution based alternatives will prevail.

In order to get the most bang for the buck, Americans have to begin looking outside of themselves to have a just and clearer understanding of the plight that is festering in plain view. If for some reason or another you find yourself moving up in middle class and losing total sight of where you come from, then perhaps a touch of amnesia has separated you from reality. This type complacency has the potency to exacerbate the debate that needs to take place if a fix it plan is to ever manifest itself. There has to be some form of a guide or beacon up ahead that leads a lost person to prominence. The relationship and plan to raise a newly born child must begin at conception. If we agree with this notion, then why are so many people missing the mark? The first six years of life are monumental with a shear emphasis placed on the first two years. Nonetheless, we are continuously seeing the end result when at age 14-19 young men and women are oblivious to life endeavors.

I like your blog. It is nice to hear somebody besides myself who has a strong opinion on what the situation is. I work for the school and I have seen the school system at its best and the worst. As you stated we can not blame Bush for everything. Yes he made some mistakes in office but so did Clinton and all the other presidents before him. I agree 100%that we should stop pointing fingers and look at the underlining reasons for the problems with our social economy. It is truly refreshing to hear an educated opinion of the situation. I do not mind who people will vote for as long as they look at what the candidate stands for and not the color of their skin. Well done I can't wait to read your next blog.
